When creative agency Ogilvy Namibia recently moved into their new headquarters in Windhoek, they called upon Stage Audio Works (SAW) Namibia to specify a videoconferencing solution for their boardroom.
‘The new conference room had acoustic challenges with a high ceiling and thick wooden beams,’ says Cameron Jonker, Sales Consultant for SAW Namibia. ‘Optimising conferencing intelligibility was essential to the project’. It is without question that making an impressive visual impact is a must for a creative agency such as Ogilvy Namibia, who required a large, professional presentation and conferencing screen.
It was imperative that the equipment would be installed discretely and leave the character of the boardroom intact. ‘We are in the business of making brands that matter and brands that matter are always built on quality. We wanted a solution that we held ourselves to every single day and Stage Audio Works (Namibia) understood the assignment from the start,’ says Megan Pritchard, CEO of Ogilvy Namibia.
According to Jonker, the initial consulting stages of an install project set the tone for customer expectations and satisfaction: ‘We want to ensure to deliver the best possible solution within the customer’s budget. Working with Ogilvy Namibia was great, as they had a clear vision of what they wanted to achieve. Their continuous pursuit of perfection felt like a natural fit for Stage Audio Works Namibia.’
Pritchard says: ‘What really stood out for us while working with Stage Audio Works (Namibia) was the like-mindedness. David Ogilvy, the father of modern advertising, always said you need to find your people and by finding your people you’ll find a cultural fit. Ogilvy Namibia goes to the best to get the job done, and that’s why we chose Stage Audio Works Namibia. Their professionalism and their confidence in providing solutions to our business needs is something that made us feel very safe from the get-go.’
Due to the acoustic properties of the boardroom, the main challenge was ensuring sufficient microphone pickup range. SAW Namibia specified the Logitech Rally Plus Modular VC System as a suitable and expandable BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) platform for conferencing and presenting. It includes a PTZ camera, wall-mounted speakers, mic pods, and a table display hub. A Samsung QE98C was chosen for its super-sized 98’’ display, its sleek design and its capability to deliver impactful visual presentations.
‘Stage Audio Works Namibia approaches every project, big or small, with a desire to deliver nothing short of excellence,’ says Jonker. ‘It has been a pleasure finding a user-friendly and flexible solution for the boardroom of Ogilvy Namibia’.
