Stage Audio Works kicks off 2026 with a three-city Church Production Roadshow

Johannesburg, South Africa. February 2026 – Leading supplier, integrator and manufacturer of professional AVL solutions, Stage Audio Works kicked off 2026 by hosting a three-date Church Production Roadshow, aimed at empowering South Africa’s worship and church production community with the latest technical knowledge and product insights. The three-date, three-city roadshow took place between the 10th and 12th of February, with the event being held in Johannesburg on the 10th, Durban on the 11th and finally Cape Town on the 12th. Bringing together global brands, local experts, worship pastors, music directors, church leaders and technical production teams, each date delivered a full day of training, inspiration and hands-on technology demos.

“We are committed to uniting expertise, leading products and hands-on training to help empower production teams and, in turn, elevate worship experiences,” confirms Nathan Ihlenfeldt. “Through these free-to-attend events, we hope to show the community how worship moments can be brought to life through technology.”

Attendees at all three dates enjoyed a mix of practical insights and tools presented by both international and local worship technology experts. This included a Church Mixing Masterclass with Jeff Sandstrom, a renowned worship audio engineer, who demonstrated the Waves LV1 Classic Workflow for live mixing.

“It’s been such an incredible experience for me to help pour into church teams all around South Africa,” says Jeff Sandstrom, who presented the mixing workshop during the roadshow. “We’ve talked about all kinds of techniques, but more importantly, we’ve talked about the team itself and how to operate as one team between worship and production.”

An RF troubleshooting session, presented by Sennheiser South Africa, addressed common wireless communication challenges and provided practical skills for overcoming these issues and improving communications in worship production scenarios.

Finally, a live demo, presented by Dee Jones from the Multitracks.com team, helped attendees discover how to leverage tracks, charts and other resources to enhance the worship experience. “The Church Production Roadshow was a direct response to the needs of the worship community,” says Ihlenfeldt. “Having greater knowledge and technical understanding brings many benefits, aside from the obvious improvements to worship services. From greater confidence in troubleshooting technical issues to better system maintenance, we’re passionate about providing free opportunities for education and believe that in-person events like these are critical for building local competencies.”

The events were held at houses of worship in each city, including Rivers Church, Sandton, Linc Church, Ballito and Hillsong Church, Century City. Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with particular mentions of the quality of the experts hosting the roadshow sessions, as one attendee explained, “Thank you for bringing Jeff Sandstrom to South Africa. We learnt a lot, and it was very insightful. We learnt about dynamics and working with the band and it was a really cool experience. I can’t wait for the next session!”

Another attendee found the Multitracks session to be a highlight: “My favourite session has to be Multitracks with Dee Jones. We learnt so much that we can implement back home. I’m looking forward to more sessions and events like this.”

Reflecting on the roadshow, the Stage Audio Works team are looking forward to continuing this momentum with more events in the future, as confirmed by Ihlenfeldt. “The success of the roadshow, which was well attended across all three locations, has only strengthened our commitment to continuing invest in these initiatives and cultivating a positive future for our industry both locally and in collaboration with our global partners.”
